Running Mad

Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the Running Mad website. We want everyone to be able to browse challenges, place an order and get help, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

What we are aiming for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. That covers things like readable text contrast, keyboard navigation, meaningful image descriptions, clear form labels and content that works when zoomed or read aloud.

What we are working on

  • Descriptive alternative text on every product and medal image
  • Clear, unique link text rather than repeated “click here” links
  • Colour contrast that remains readable in bright light and on small screens
  • Forms that can be completed by keyboard alone
  • Headings used in a logical order so screen readers can navigate quickly

Accessibility of our challenges themselves

Our events are deliberately inclusive. Walking, cycling, swimming and gym machines all count towards your distance, there are no cut-off times, and you can split a challenge across as many sessions as you need. Distances start at 1.5 miles precisely so that the entry point is genuinely low.

Reporting a problem

If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us. Describe the page, what you were trying to do and what went wrong, along with the device, browser or assistive technology you were using. Contact us through the contact page or submit a ticket, and we will respond and tell you what we can do.

We review this statement regularly and update it as the site changes.
