Running Mad

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of this website and any order you place with Running Mad. Please read them before ordering. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

About us

Running Mad supplies virtual fitness challenges, medals, certificates and related merchandise. Our full company and contact details are available on the contact page.

Placing an order

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you confirmation that your order has been accepted. We may decline an order, for example where an item is unavailable, where there has been a pricing error, or where we are unable to obtain payment.

What a virtual challenge includes

A virtual challenge entry entitles you to take part in the challenge you selected and to receive the associated medal and certificate. You choose your own activity, distance and timescale. There is no supervised event, no timing service and no cut-off time imposed by us.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you commit to your order. We take payment at the point of order. Promotional prices apply only while the relevant offer or casting batch is available.

Delivery

We pack and post orders every Sunday and Monday and we ship worldwide. Delivery timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed. Orders shipped outside the UK may attract import duties or taxes payable by the recipient. See delivery and shipping.

Cancellation, returns and refunds

If you are a consumer in the UK you have a right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving them under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Personalised, engraved and bespoke items are excluded from this right once production has begun. Faulty goods are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Full details are on our returns and exchanges page.

Your responsibility for your own health and safety

You take part in any challenge entirely at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety. Please take medical advice before starting a new exercise programme if you have any health concerns. Take particular care when exercising in the dark, in poor weather or on roads. We do not supervise, marshal or route any challenge, and we are not responsible for injury or loss arising from your participation.

Participants under 18

Children are welcome to take part, but orders must be placed by an adult, and a parent or guardian is responsible for supervising a child’s participation.

Leaderboard and submitted content

Submitting a result to the leaderboard is optional. If you submit content such as a name, result or photograph, you confirm you have the right to do so and you grant us permission to publish it in connection with the leaderboard, the Hall of Fame and related promotion. Tell us if you would like it removed.

Intellectual property

All content on this site, including designs, images, text and logos, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, our liability in connection with an order is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Events outside our control

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including postal disruption, extreme weather and supply chain failures.

Privacy and cookies

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our privacy policy and cookie policy, which are linked in the site footer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
