Virtual challenges confuse people at first, mainly because they are simpler than they sound. There is no event day, no travel and no crowd. You choose a distance, you cover it however and whenever you like, and you get a medal and certificate for doing it.
Step one: choose your challenge
Every challenge has a design and a theme, from standalone medals to full series. Pick the one you actually want on your shelf, because that is the thing that will get you out of the door in week three.
Step two: choose your activity
You are not restricted to running. Every challenge lets you select walk, jog or run, cycle, swim, crawl, exercise machines such as a treadmill, or a mix of several. There is no advantage to picking one over another and nobody is checking.
Step three: choose your distance
Distances run from 1.5 miles up to 100 miles:
- 1.5 miles for children, families and absolute beginners.
- 5K and 10K for a genuine but manageable target.
- Half marathon and full marathon for a serious single effort.
- 50 miles and 100 miles or more as cumulative challenges spread across weeks.
Step four: complete it in your own time
We do not impose a cut-off. You set your own window, and you can split the distance across as many days and as many activities as you like. Building 100 miles over two months is exactly how the longer challenges are designed to be tackled.
Step five: your medal and certificate
We pack and post medals every Sunday and Monday, so your medal may well arrive before you have finished. That is intentional. Each one comes with a certificate you fill in yourself with your activity, distance and time, so the record is yours.
Step six: the leaderboard, if you want it
Submitting evidence is entirely optional. If you would like to be featured, you can send your challenge details along with a screenshot from any activity-tracking app. If you would rather just do it quietly, that is completely fine.
Common questions
Do I need a tracking app?
No. Plenty of people use their phone’s built-in step counter, a watch, or a measured local route. Only the leaderboard involves evidence.
Can children take part?
Yes, and they are very welcome. Orders need to be placed by an adult, and the shorter distances are the natural place to start.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Delivery costs are calculated at checkout.
